Schlössle Hotels’ top priority has always been health and safety of our guests, staff and community.

The following operational protocols were created as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Please note Hotel Management has the right to change following guidelines, according to the Health Board of Estonia regulations.

Welcome at the Reception

When arriving at Schlössle hotel, you will find an easily accessible sanitising station at the entrance.

Upon arrival porters will offer luggage assistance, disinfecting handles and touch points. Masks and gloves will be available to guests upon request. Valet parking services will be suspended.

Guests will be advised to practice physical distancing by standing at least 2 metres away from others while on property.

Upon check-in our team will reduce paper, envelopes and all stationary needed, to a minimum during registration process. Anything handed to guests (eg. credit card, room key, pen, ipad etc.) will be previously sanitised.

Upon arrival, guest will be offered the option of Housekeeping service during the stay, along with the wished frequency of service. Absolute privacy is offered to guests who upon check-in and during their stay decide not to allow any hotel team member to enter their room during their full stay period at the hotel. Services will still be handled, but in front of the guest’s room door.

Front of House staff will refrain from sharing computers, phones and other office equipment and, in case of sharing, our team will disinfect the entire desk area between each guest interaction.

Physical Distancing & Queuing

As recommended by the local governmental social distancing guidelines, guests shall be advised to practice physical distancing by standing at least 2 meters away from other groups of people not traveling with them, including any area where guests or employees may queue. Lobby furniture and other public seating areas will be reconfigured to promote social distancing.

Public Areas

Hotel has significantly increased regular cleaning of public areas, with special attention to high touch points (door handles, reception desk, bell desk, public bathrooms, room keys, stair handrails,etc).

All indoor areas such as entrance lobbies, corridors, staircases and offices will be periodically disinfected with solutions advised by health authorities.

Hand sanitiser dispensers will be placed in public areas wherever possible. Paper towels will be available in public restrooms.

COVID-19 Training and PPE

All employees shall receive COVID-19 safety and facility sanitation protocols training recommendations from the Health Board of Estonia. Appropriate protective equipment is worn by all team members based on their roles and responsibilities and in adherence with Estonian government regulations.

Do Not Enter My Room

At check-in, you will be offered the possibility of choosing the new “Do Not Enter My Room” option, which means that while all services remain available, our employees will not enter your room during your stay until you express a wish to have your room serviced. Room-service deliveries, luggage assistance, and other services will take place in front of your room.

Rooms & Amenities

The frequency of room cleaning during a guest’s stay may be altered based on guest requirements. The cleaning of our rooms and suites and the sanitisation of our beds meet the highest possible hygiene standards.

To enhance your confidence during your stay, the selection of room amenities now includes disinfection wipes and hand sanitisers.

Turn-down service will be offered upon request.

Newspaper delivery service will not be available.

Hotel bedrooms will be vacant for 24 hours between guests when possible, per social distancing norms and suggested disinfection periods.

All surfaces will be disinfected after every departure. Ozone purifying units will be placed in rooms between guest stays.

Rooms are allocated to allow appropriate levels of social distancing with one room vacant in between rooms where possible.

Non-essential items such as books, newspapers and magazines will be removed from guest rooms.


Minibar is available and is sanitized and refilled after each guest’s departure. For additional comfort and peace of mind, sanitizing wipes for guest in rooms are available to disinfect any item before its use.

Restaurant & Drink Service

To ensure carefree indulgence in the carefully crafted dishes and beverages at our restaurant and bar, the recommended distance between all visiting guests is strictly maintained. Our employees and the culinary team ensures that the highest hygiene standards are always respected. Sanitizing station to be available at every entrance of our F&B outlets. Surfaces, seats, and high contact areas are regularly sanitized.

All self-service condiments and utensils will be removed and offered on requested to allow effective disinfection in between each guest.

Bill folders, pens and other reusable guest contact items will be sanitised after each use.

Contactless payment will be available at all of our outlets.

Room service

Traditional room service shall be replaced with a no-contact delivery method upon guest’s choice. Ordered meals will be placed on a table outside guest’s room door and call from reception will be made for guest to pick up their items accordingly.


Breakfast to be served as a la cart at the opening stages of the hotel, providing no Breakfast buffet. To avoid situations where social distancing would not be possible due to restaurant capacity, book a table time will be advised.

Package – take away breakfast will be available as alternative. Our F&B Staff are wearing white gloves carrying out their duties at all times.

Guest transport

The Schlössle Hotel Private Transfer offers you the possibility to enhance your individual arrival experience. A luggage cleaning and disinfection service are offered upon arrival before your suitcases are delivered to your room.

The car will be disinfected before and after every arrival. Disinfectant wipes and hand sanitiser will be available for guests along with regular amenities (water, etc). Guests are not permitted in the front passenger seat. No more than 4 guests will be permitted in an SUV/MPV and no more than 2 guests will be permitted in a sedan.

Our valet parking service is suspended for time being.

Meeting and Convention Spaces

Meeting and banquet arrangements shall allow for physical distancing between guests based on governmental recommendations. While hotel teams have to keep their distance to the guests of at least 2 metres, all furniture in public areas has to be rearranged to keep social distancing rules for the convenience of guests.

Air Filter and HVAC Cleaning

The frequency of air filter replacement has been increased and fresh air exchange will be maximized.

Housekeeping Service

Daily housekeeping service is offered from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Following social distancing protocol, guests are kindly asked to be out of the guest room during service.

Nightly turndown service is on demand.

After room has been cleaned, OZON disinfection device to purify air is placed in each room for 2-3 hours eliminating 99,5% of the air born bacteria and viruses.


All bed linen and bathroom terry will be changed daily and washed at high temperatures in accordance with Estonian Health Board guidelines.

Shared Equipment

Shared electronics and equipment will be sanitized with 80% alcohol antiseptic topical solution, during and after each use. This includes cell phones, house phones, shared computers and payment terminal, safety buttons, cleaning equipment and all other direct contact items used throughout the Schlössle Hotel. Shared tools and equipment shall be disinfected after each shift

Sauna and Spa Treatments

Sauna will be available by appointment only and limited to single-guest slots.

Hand sanitiser available within the sauna treatment room.

Towel and other desks/stations will be sanitised periodically

Room Recovery Protocol

In the event of a presumptive case of COVID-19 the guest’s room will be removed from service and quarantined. The guest room will not be returned to service until the case has been confirmed or cleared. In the event of a positive case, the room will only be returned to service after undergoing an enhanced sanitization protocol by a licensed third-party expert and approval by the local public health authorities.

Employee safety

All employees shall receive COVID-19 safety and facility sanitation protocols training recommendations from the Health Board of Estonia

Additionally, all employees will have their temperature checked before commencing their shift.

We will increase the frequency of cleaning in high touch-points for employees, including the canteen and locker rooms.
